Mixing and Storage Guidelines

Mix 1 part powder to 2 parts warm water and feed 4 to 6 times a day. To determine the correct amount, see guidelines below or view the Baby Squirrel Care Guide. Gradually decrease both the quantity of milk formula and number of feedings per day as weaning approaches (around 16 weeks).

• Add powder to warm water (approximately 100°F or 37.7°C).
  
• Blend until powder is evenly mixed.
• Place in refrigerator for approximately 8 hours to fully reconstitute.
• Mixing directions are based on volume, not weight measurements.
• Store any leftover formula in refrigerator and feed within 24 hours.

Unused formula powder should be stored in a cool dry place, preferably the refrigerator, and is good until the expiration date printed on the label.

5-7% Feeding Rule

Weigh the baby on a scale in grams; multiply that number by 5% (0.05) to determine the number of mL’s to feed per feeding. You may need to start with smaller feedings and work up to 5% after a few feedings. Once the baby is eating well and able to digest 5% quickly, you can gradually move up to feeding them 7% at a time. Vegetable oil, casein, dried whey protein concentrate, dried corn syrup solids, dicalcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, lactose, potassium chloride, magnesium sulfate,  L-Arginine d i, -methionine taurine, sodium chloride, dipotassium phosphate, mono and diglycerides, chlorine chloride, vitamin E supplement, vitamin A supplement, vitamin D-3 supplement, zinc sulfate, ferrous sulfate, riboflavin supplement, calcium pantothenate, niacin supplement, manganese sulfate, copper sulfate, vitamin B-12 supplement, thiamine hydrochloride, pyridoxine hydrochloride, folic acid, calcium iodate, biotin, sodium selenite, natural and artificial flavors added.

Composition 

473 kcal per 100 grams of powder. 1 cup weighs approximately 119 grams.
